Municipal Court Judge, Erin Kirksey

The Honorable Erin N. Kirksey, Municipal Court Judge, is native to Northwest Oklahoma, being born and raised in Beaver, Oklahoma. After graduating from Beaver High School, Erin attended Oklahoma State University, wherein she obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree. Upon completion of her undergraduate work, Erin graduated Delta Mu Delta from Oklahoma Christian University with a Masters of Business Administration, emphasis in Finance. Erin then attended Oklahoma City University School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor in 2010.  While in law school, Erin served as a graduate assistant, wherein she conducted legal research for the authors of the third edition of West's Oklahoma Trial Practice. She also volunteered for the Oklahoma City University Wills Clinic, was a member of Phi Delta Phi Fraternity, and was elected as the secretary/treasurer for the Law Student Division of the ABA. After working with another Northwest Oklahoma law firm after law school, Erin opened Kirksey Law Firm, P.L.L.C. in 2013, wherein she practices family law, estate planning and probate law, title and entity formation law, and general civil litigation.
Erin is also a member of the Woodward Rotary, serves on the Woodward Chamber Board of Directors, is a member of the Woodward Bar Association, is a member of the Woodward Alpha Gamma civic organization, and serves on the First United Methodist Church Board of Trustees.

Aaron R. Sims was born in Grand Junction, Colorado and raised in Woodward, Oklahoma. Mr. Sims returned to Woodward in 1998 and, in addition to maintaining a private law practice, has served as the City Attorney since his return. Mr. Sims received a bachelor of science from Oklahoma State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He also serves on several community organizations including the Woodward Education Foundation and the Northwest Domestic Crisis Services. Mr. Sims is a member of the Woodward County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Association of Municipal Attorneys and is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state and federal courts.
