POSITION SUMMARY: The Sports & Recreation Part-Time/Temporary/Seasonal Laborer position performs non-exempt work performing maintenance, landscaping, mowing, weed eating, power washing, trash pickup and other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Mows, weeds, trims, and picks up debris around sports fields. Repairs sprinkler irrigation system; repairs fences and sports fields as required.
Operates loader, chipper, tractor, and lawn mowing equipment.
Cleans restrooms, picks up litter around trash containers and roadways.
Performs other duties and assignments for other departments as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must have the following qualifications:

Skill in following oral instructions.
Verbal perception, motor coordination, manual dexterity.
Ability to follow instructions, operate tools and machinery safely, and perform manual labor.

Ability to read, understand and communicate fluently in the English language.

Skilled to operate a computer, operate a 10 key adding machine, certain computer software, and operate other office machines as required for the position.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
Experience with photography, videography, or graphic design is a plus.
Social skills to satisfactorily work in a public office, customer services, government, tourism, events, tradeshows, and association environment.
