Permits should be obtained through the Code Enforcement Office at 722 Main Street if you are adding such items as a storage building, remodeling a home or structure, replacing or installing a fence, adding a garage or carport, etc. Permits are also required for any new roofing system. Roofing contractors must be registered with the Construction Industries Board and also obtain a permit through the Code Enforcement Office.

An individual who lives, works, attends school, or owns property in Woodward County may apply for a library card at no charge. You must provide a picture ID and 1 form of identification verifying your current physical address. Children (18 and under) must be accompanied by a parent, a guardian, or legal caregiver.Using the Library

Fines are $0.10 per item, per day for most items. Audio books, DVDs, and children's kits are $1 per day, per item. Fines for items borrowed from another library are $0.25 per day, per item. Materials can be renewed in person, by phone, or through the online catalog. Items may be renewed twice if there are no outstanding requests. Inter library loan material may be renewed only once for a period of 7 days.Using the Library

For items that are currently checked out, you can reserve them at the front desk in person or by phone, or you can place a hold online through the library catalog. Items the library does not own can often be borrowed from another library through our inter library loan service. There is a limit of no more than 5 requests at one time. Opening day is the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend each year. Up-to-date operating hours during the season can be found here.

To prevent any disruption in service, payments or payment arrangements must be made by the 20th of each month.

If your account becomes delinquent, a $50 non-payment fee will be added to your balance, in addition to the current month’s overdue charges.
Payments can be made during regular business hours:
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.If you need to make a payment after hours, you will be required to sign a payment agreement form at the Woodward Police Station, agreeing to pay the full balance by 10:00 a.m. the next business day.
After-hours payments will incur:
- A $50 non-payment fee
- A $50 after-hours service fee
- The delinquent amount due for the current month

Property owners must provide a copy of their warranty deed, two forms of identification, and the required deposit.

Yes, the City of Woodward rents dumpsters to residential customers for a maximum period of one month. Rental fees are based on the current collection rates per receptacle. Please note that we do not provide dumpsters for commercial use.

No. If a citation is paid before your scheduled court date, your court appearance is not required. However, there are fines that require an appearance before the judge. These fines cannot be paid until after your court appearance.

If your fine is not paid before your scheduled court hearing, and you do not appear before the Judge on your scheduled court date, a warrant will be issued.

Under Oklahoma law, municipal courts are required to transmit a violation within five (5) days of the final disposition date to Service Oklahoma. Some offenses go on your driving record and some do not. For additional questions, contact Service Oklahoma at (405) 522-7000.

You can either pay with cash, cashier's check, money order or credit card at the Court Clerks office, or turn yourself into the custody of the Woodward Police Department. The Municipal Judge is contacted and will administer his/her judgement at the jail.

The Center answers calls for emergency city services when the regular business offices are closed. These calls include, water leaks, sewage back-ups, injured animals, etc. When notified of a problem, the Center contacts the on-call person for that particular department. The on-call person in turn will either contact the citizen or go directly to the scene, depending on the circumstances.
