Permits should be obtained through the Code Enforcement Office at 722 Main Street if you are adding such items as a storage building, remodeling a home or structure, replacing or installing a fence, adding a garage or carport, etc. Permits are also required for any new roofing system. Roofing contractors must be registered with the Construction Industries Board and also obtain a permit through the Code Enforcement Office.

For all public events, please contact our tourism department at (580) 701-0154. Pavilions and gazebos at public parks, for birthday parties and small, private gatherings, are first come, first serve and reservations are not accepted. 

Opening day is the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend each year. Up-to-date operating hours during the season can be found here.

The Miniature Golf Course and Pedal Boats are open seasonally on Friday through Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. through Labor Day Weekend.

General admission is $5.00 per person for either activity.

Admission: $5.00 per person, $1.00 for non-swimmers

Family Season Pass (for up to 4 people) available for $200; Additional family members can be added for $50 each

Individual Season Pass (all ages) available for $80

To prevent any disruption in service, payments or payment arrangements must be made by the 20th of each month.

If your account becomes delinquent, a $50 non-payment fee will be added to your balance, in addition to the current month’s overdue charges.

Payments can be made during regular business hours:
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

If you need to make a payment after hours, you will be required to sign a payment agreement form at the Woodward Police Station, agreeing to pay the full balance by 10:00 a.m. the next business day.

After-hours payments will incur:

• A $50 non-payment fee
• A $50 after-hours service fee
• The delinquent amount due for the current month

To establish utility service:

• Property owners must provide a copy of their warranty deed, two forms of identification, and the required deposit.

• Renters must provide a copy of their rental agreement, two forms of identification, and the required deposit.

We accept cash, check, debit card, credit card, or direct drafts. For a direct draft, please visit City Hall at 722 Main Street to fill out the direct draft form. You may also pay by phone via debit or credit card or pay online here! 

No, we do not average or estimate bills. All billing is based on actual usage recorded by your meter.

An increase in water usage can be caused by multiple factors. Common things around your home to check are running toilets, dripping faucets, sprinklers running or leaking.

Just place your containers either by the curb in front of your home, or if you live by an alley, just locate the containers on your property beside the alleyway.

If you are unsure what the pick up day is for your location, just call us at 580-254-8508 and we will gladly give you your pickup day.

You may have as many trash receptacles as you need.

Yes, the City of Woodward rents dumpsters to residential customers for a maximum period of one month. Rental fees are based on the current collection rates per receptacle. Please note that we do not provide dumpsters for commercial use.

No. If a citation is paid before your scheduled court date, your court appearance is not required. However, there are fines that require an appearance before the judge. These fines cannot be paid until after your court appearance.

If your fine is not paid before your scheduled court hearing, and you do not appear before the Judge on your scheduled court date, a warrant will be issued.

Under Oklahoma law, municipal courts are required to transmit a violation within five (5) days of the final disposition date to Service Oklahoma. Some offenses go on your driving record and some do not. For additional questions, contact Service Oklahoma at (405) 522-7000.

If it is a citation that does not require a court appearance, someone else may pay the fine for you. However, you will need to sign the back of the citation beforehand and have them bring the signed citation with them, along with the payment. Fines may also be paid online or by telephone.

Yes. You may acquire a copy of your driving record at any tag agency, or online here.

You can either pay with cash, cashier's check, money order or credit card at the Court Clerks office, or turn yourself into the custody of the Woodward Police Department. The Municipal Judge is contacted and will administer his/her judgement at the jail.

Once a warrant is closed, the Court Clerk's office will process a release for the suspended driver's license and the defendant will then work with the Service Oklahoma to get the license reinstated.

The Center answers calls for emergency city services when the regular business offices are closed. These calls include, water leaks, sewage back-ups, injured animals, etc. When notified of a problem, the Center contacts the on-call person for that particular department. The on-call person in turn will either contact the citizen or go directly to the scene, depending on the circumstances.

Defensive Driving classes are no longer offered by our court. If someone wants to take a class, they can go to www.oksafety.org or www.drivesafeonline.org to sign up for a class at another location.

Woodward County Jail provides fingerprinting services.

The City of Woodward has a designated truck route. The route is the federal highways (Williams/9^th and Oklahoma Avenue). If a truck is making deliveries to a store that is allowed. If they have more questions, they can speak with an officer.

No, we do not encourage anyone to leave their residence in the middle of the storm. Any places that become open will be announced on the Ready Woodward Facebook page.

Oklahoma law requires every child under 8 years old to be properly secured in a child passenger restraint system. 

Follow these guidelines to keep them safe:

0-2 years: By law, children under 2 must be properly secured in a rear-facing car seat. 

2-4 years: Must be in a car seat until age 4. 

4-8 years: Must be in a car seat or child booster seat until at least age 8, unless the child is taller than 4'9".

8 years or taller than 4'9": Should wear a seat belt. 

The Woodward County Court Clerks office processes requests for protective orders.

Police reports are usually ready within 5 working days through the Chief of Police’s Secretary for Woodward, through the Administrative Assistant of for Woodward County, and through Chief of Police’s Assistant for Mooreland.  To obtain a collision report, submit a Reports Request Form along with all applicable fees by either of the following methods:

Yes. For any person under the age of eighteen (18). No minor shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places, to include, but not be limited to, driving, riding or parking any motorized or nonmotorized vehicle in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places, between the following hours: 

   A.   Eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. and five o'clock (5:00) A.M. on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday;

   B.   One o'clock (1:00) A.M. and five o'clock (5:00) A.M. on Saturday morning and Sunday morning. (2001 Code § 136.02)

Yes. It is unlawful for any person to disturb the peace and quietude of any part of the city by operating, having operated, or permitting to be operated any contrivance, whether electric or not, with or without a loudspeaker, in such a manner as to emit loud music, noise or words. (2001 Code § 132.05). Violations will be determined the officer.

Woodward Police Department allows online reports to be completed by going to the City of Woodward’s website. Woodward County Sheriff’s Office and Mooreland Police department do not offer online reports. 

Information can be added to a police report online by contacting the originating officer or deputy who took the initial report. If they are off duty, a message can be left and they will get back to you. Or another officer or deputy can take the information and add to the original report. 

Information regarding the price of a ticket or questions regarding the amount of any fine can be obtained by calling the number listed under the Court section of the citation. For Municipal citations in Woodward contact the City of Woodward Court Clerk at 580-254-8585. For Municipal citations in Mooreland contact the Mooreland Police Department at 580-994-5924. For District citations for Woodward County contact the Woodward County Court Clerk at 580-256-3413. 

FOI requests are handled by each agency.  For incident reports the requests can be sent to the Chief of Police’s Secretary for both Woodward or Mooreland, or the Sheriff’s Office. All requests for radio logs for recordings can be sent to the City of Woodward City Clerk’s Office. 

No.  Our police cars are not equipped to jump start cars.  Usually a wrecker service can provide you with assistance.

Contact Animal Services during business hours at 254-8549.  It is recommended you keep a log of dates and times when the dog has been a nuisance.

This is considered a civil matter between you and your roommate, husband or wife. The police department and sheriff’s office cannot get involved in these matters.  All civil matters are handled through the court.  If you fear for your safety while you retrieve some of your property, you can call our non-emergency number and request a civil standby.
